We study the dynamics of magnetization reversals, known as walls, in a notched ferromagnetic nanowire. The model used is the Landau–Lifschitz equation in dimension 1, with a weight representing the notch. Despite the pinning properties of notches, we establish in this article that when the applied field tends to push the wall far away from the notch, pinning effects are negligible, and wall dynamics are asymptotically close to those in an unnotched wire.
